Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The WHO (world health organization), most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. Anyone can get sick with COVID-19 and become seriously ill or die at any age.

Colombia has faced the disease caused by the coronavirus and more than 70% of the population has been vaccinated with a complete scheme, however, the vaccination is not a warranty to prevent the coronavirus and additional efforts need to be considered. As the Petrophase organizing committee, we highly recommend attending the Petrophase (Bucaramanga, Colombia), with a complete vaccination schedule, in addition, we encourage all attendees to wear masks during the event (eg conferences, discussion areas and poster sessions ), the Neomundo facilities are equipped with bathrooms and hand washers will also be available near the common areas.

It is recommended to check the conference web page in dates near to the date conference´s beginning, where we are going to update the Colombia´s Goberment recomendations or policies, in order to be sure that you will not have problems to enter to the country.
